Robert Janssen is an accomplished Senior Executive & Entrepreneurial Advisor with over 30 years of successful cross-border business development across IT, Education, Energy, Biotech, and Retail sectors. Leveraging extensive experience by guiding startups through acceleration & internationalization, he is a valuable asset for companies with a global focus. His broad areas of expertise include Strategic Planning, International Business Development, Export & Competitiveness Assessment, Product & Market Fit Development, Design of Acceleration Programs, and Mentoring for Mentors. He currently is a member of different Silicon Valley angel investor groups, including Sand Hill Angels and TiE Angels.
Throughout his career, Janssen held leadership positions at companies, including Advanstar, Gartner, Fenasoft, Softex, and IT Mídia. As CEO of the OBr.global accelerator, he focuses on providing market intelligence & business execution for startups to go global. He has participated in the success of dozens of companies using OBr’s methodologies to grow internationally and is one of the advisors responsible for go-to-market strategies for the Brazilian government. He is the Vice President of International Relations for Assespro (Leading Association of Brazilian IT Companies), where he guides the largest organizations with internationalization strategies. He is also an official accelerator for the Startup Rio & Startup Brasil programs. Currently, he leads OBr’s acceleration program in all geographies. In 2015, 2016, and 2017 Robert was elected Top 50 Most Influential IT Executives for Midsize Enterprises in the US.
