OKR (Objectives and Key Results) is a management methodology widely used by companies in Silicon Valley and currently one of the most practiced in the world!
OKR is different from all other methodologies as it combines in a single method the principles of agility, focus, alignment, transparency, real-time monitoring and boldness.
Objectives and Key Results’ is an agile, simple and powerful performance management methodology focused on challenging goals. In a simplified way, it can be said that it is a formula for defining goals such as “I will” (Objective) “measured by” (set of key results).
Our OKR Master Bootcamp is different because it is not limited to simple theory, but focuses on learning from our concrete cases of OKR programs implemented in several companies in recent years. It also brings practical exercises and simulations.
We’ll show you how OKR can:
The OKR Master Bootcamp aims to equip managers and employees with a practical understanding of how to apply the methodology within the cultural context of their respective organizations. Bootcamp helps participants exercise how to define qualitative objectives and identify key quantitative results that best confirm the objective, in addition to presenting techniques on how to seek and promote greater alignment among all members of the organization
OKR was created by former Intel CEO Andrew S. Grove, but they became better known when, in 1999, one of Google’s investors, John Doerr, presented the methodology to the founders and collaborators. The method gained fame for supporting Google’s growth – the company went from around 40 people in 1999 to more than 85,000 today – showing that it can be used by both small businesses and large corporations.
For the methodology to have an impact on the business, it is imperative to understand how to think and define the objectives and, at the same time, identify the most adherent KPIs to show the results sought by the established objectives.
Objectives are a concise statement of the company’s desired direction. A good objective manages to sensitize and engage people so that they can imagine how impactful it will be to achieve it. Key results are the indicators that directly confirm the achievement of the objective if it is successfully achieved.
