Application and Scope

By using the Services, you acknowledge that your personal information will be handled as described in this Policy and, if payment is made via Eventbrite or PagSeguro, you consent to the Terms of Sale, which are incorporated by reference into this Policy.

Our Services are made available to you directly through our websites. If you have any questions or comments about your privacy rights please contact the airline that you are travelling with.

1. Type of Personal Information We Collect About You

We collect information about you directly from you and from third parties, as well as automatically through your use of the Services. When used in this Policy, personal information means “any information about an identifiable individual.”

Information Collected Directly From You: The information collected from you depends on how you use the Services. To use the Services without creating an account, we collect your email address and payment information. If you create an account for your use of the Services, we also collect your email address, name, country of residence, and payment information. When you contact our customer service center, we will collect your name, contact information, such as your email address and phone number, and your reasons for contacting us.

Information We Collect from Third Parties: We collect information about you from third parties, such as educational and institutional partners that our Services are offered through. When you use the Services, we may receive information from a partner such as topics of interest and specific education information. We also have arrangements with certain mobile phone carriers that allow their customers to use the Services as part of their mobile services agreement. For these Service users, we may also collect relevant information from their mobile phone or internet carrier.

Information We May Collect Automatically: We automatically collect the following information about your use of our Services, including through the use of network management tools. When you navigate the login page to the Services, we collect: your browser type and operating system; Service pages you view; links you click; your IP address; the length of time you visit our Services; the partner that you are using to access the Services and your portfolio preferences. When you initiate an internet session on the Services, we collect information about the amount of bandwidth you use. We also aggregate data about users’ use of the Services, such as the number of sessions, the number of sessions purchased and the most popular domains from a given educational asset. We may combine this information with other information that we have collected about you, including, where applicable, your username, name and other personal information.

2. How We May Use Your Information

  • to provide the Services to you, to communicate with you about your use of the Services, to respond to your inquiries, to fulfill your orders, and for other customer service purposes.
  • to tailor the content and information that we may send or display to you, to offer possible customization, and personalized help and instructions, and to otherwise personalize your experiences while using the Services. For example, we may customize the language of the Services, advertisements displayed in the Service login pages based on the educational product you are seeking to purchase, the timetable of preference to participate in one of the educational assets.
  • to better understand how users access and use the Services, both on an aggregated and individualized basis, in order to improve the Services and respond to user desires and preferences and for other research and analytical purposes. For example, we may use this information to better manage the provision of the internet services, or to improve relevant business connections.
  • to administer surveys and questionnaires.
  • to comply with applicable legal or regulatory obligations, including as part of a judicial proceeding; to respond to a subpoena, warrant, court order, or other legal process; or as part of an investigation or request, whether formal or informal, from law enforcement or a governmental authority; and
  • to protect the safety, rights, property, or security of OBr.global, the Services, any third party or the general public; to detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues; to prevent or stop activity that OBr.global, in its sole discretion, may consider to be, or to pose a risk of being, an illegal, unethical, or legally actionable activity; to use as evidence in litigation; to conduct audits and to enforce this Policy and the Terms of Sale.

We and our third-party service providers may use cookies and other tracking mechanisms to track information about your use of our Services. We may combine this information with other personal information we collect from you (and our third-party service providers may do so on our behalf).

When you use our Services, we may use the following tracking mechanisms:

  • Cookies- are small text files that are saved on your device’s hard drive through your web browser for record-keeping purposes.
  • Web beacons- are small image files that have information about you, such as your IP address, that can be downloaded when you visit a website or open an e-mail; and
  • Single pixel gifs- are small image files similar to web beacons that allow our third-party tracking tools to gather information, such as your IP address, and provide this back to us in an anonymized aggregate form (i.e., in a manner where we cannot identify you). Aggregate information refers to personal information compiled and expressed in a summary form where no personal identifiers are included.

You may delete or disable certain of these technologies at any time via your browser. However, if you do so, you may not be able to use some of the features on our Services.

Once no longer required, your personal information will be securely destroyed or anonymized (so the information no longer identifies you).

Please note that if your personal information is collected by a third party, it will be retained in accordance with the privacy policies and records retention requirements of that third party.

7. Security of Your Personal Information

We have implemented technical and organizational measures to protect the information we collect from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures include physical, administrative and electronic (technological) security measures that are reasonable given the sensitivity of the personal information collected, the amount, distribution and format of the personal information, and the methods of storage. However, there is always a certain level of risk involved when personal information is collected, processed and stored and we are unable to guarantee the security of your personal information.

You should take steps to protect against unauthorized access to your password, phone, and computer by, among other things, signing off after using a shared computer, choosing a robust password that nobody else knows or can easily guess, and keeping your log-in and password private. We are not responsible for any lost, stolen, or compromised passwords or for any activity on your account via unauthorized password activity.
